LAHORE:Indian forces resorted to unprovoked firing on Saturday at the Line of Control (LoC) in Uri Sector – targeting civilians.
The development has come in a few days after a passenger bus was targeted with a rocket in Neelum Valley – which claimed eight lives and injuring seven. The same day three soldiers embraced martyrdom at the LoC in firing that was provoked by India.
Syed Ali Gilani – one of the leaders of separatist movement in the valley – called the All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) on Friday and said that the Kashmiris would side with Pakistan if they are were to choose.
It is pertinent to mentioned here that after the Indo-Pak separation,India vowed to hold a referendum in Kashmir and let the Kashmiris decide which state they want to be governed by – however, the promise failed its implementation.
