ISLAMABAD: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government is making all out efforts to introduce modern methods to improve yield of various crops and fruits.
According to Radio Pakistan quoting official sources of Agriculture Department said that about one hundred acres of land has been identified to establish modern date farming and processing unit in D.I. Khan with the operational capacity of 50 tons a day.
The officials said that high quality date is being produced in DI Khan, Tank, LakkiMarwat and Bannu. He said the Date is one of the important cash crops because Pakistan ranked among the top ten Date exporting countries.
