RAWALPINDI: Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) in 18 countrywide operations recovered 948 Kg Narcotics worth Rs 6.2 billion in International Market.
Operations were carried out at Islamabad, Attock, Lodhran, Lahore, Faisalabad, Peshawar, Hyderabad, Karachi and Pashin. The recovered drugs comprised 897 Kg Heroin, 37 Kg Hashish, 8 Kg Methamphetamine and 6 Kg Opium. ANF also arrested 25 drug traffickers including 5 ladies involved in drug trafficking and seized 5 vehicles.
ANF Quetta in a successful intelligence led operations, seized 886 Kg Heroin from District Pishin. According to details, the drug consignment was concealed at an uninhabited site situated in mountainous area of Killi Gawal, District Pishin. As per preliminary reports, the drug consignment was placed for handing over to some other narcotics gang for onward disposal to some unidentified destination.
ANF Rawalpindi intercepted a Suzuki Caltus Car at Railway Crossing, Tarnol, GT Road, Islamabad and recovered 10 Kg Heroin, also arresting a drug smuggler on board.
In another operation, ANF Rawalpindi recovered 5 Kg Hashish from possession of a drug peddler who was arrested at Chungi No. 26, Bus stop Islamabad. Yet in another operation, ANF Rawalpindi intercepted a Suzuki Khyber Car near Bilal Travels, IJP Road, Faizabad, Islamabad and recovered 3.6 Kg Hashish, while arresting an accused on board.
In fourth operation, ANF Rawalpindi arrested a local drug peddler along with 2.5 Kg Hashish, which was found in his personal possession. He was arrested from Attock City.
ANF Lahore intercepted a Toyota Corolla Car near Satlaj Toll Plaza, Lodhran and recovered 4.8 Kg Hashish concealed in it. An accused on board named Muhammad Shoaib Khan resident of Karachi was also arrested. In another operation, ANF Lahore intercepted a Toyota Corolla Car near Babu Sabu Chowk Bund Road, recovered 2.4 Kg Opium and 6 Kg Hashish and arrested 3 persons board, identified as Raza Ullah, Zar Wali and Khair Ullah resident of Peshawar and Mushtaq Khan resident Lahore.
Yet in another operation, ANF Lahore arrested a drug supplier named Shahid Bilal resident of Mianwali, near Kohistan Bus Terminal, Faisalabad, recovered 1.2 Kg Hashish from his possession. In fourth operation, ANF Lahore intercepted a Car near Main Motorway Toll Plaza, Faisalabad, recovered 3.6 Opium and 3.6 Kg Hashish concealed in it. A drug smuggler named Meer Hassan resident of Peshawar was also arrested on the spot.
ANF Peshawar recovered 2.4 Kg Hashish from possession of Abid Ali and Farman Ullah both residents of Khyber Agency, while they were travelling in passenger Toyota Van near Motorway Toll Plaza, Peshawar.
In second operation, ANF Peshawar recovered 1.2 Kg Hashish from Sadaqat Hussain resident of Attock, who was arrested from a passenger van near Motorway Toll Plaza, Peshawar. In third operation, ANF Peshawar Airport Team, arrested a passenger Ikram Hakim resident of Bannu at Peshawar Airport, while he was boarding for Abu Dhabi by Air Blue Flight No. PA-630, recovering 1.2 Kg Hashish concealed in his trolley bag.
In fourth operation, ANF Peshawar recovered 900 Gram Hashish from possession of Ramzan resident of Chakwal, while he was travelling in a passenger van near Motorway Toll Plaza, Peshawar.
ANF Karachi Airport Team arrested 6 foreign bound passengers named Muhammad Rizwan, Sabra, Robina, Sadaf Saleem, Robina Bibi and Rabia Bibi at Jinnah International Airport, Karachi, while they were boarding on Flight PK-761 scheduled for Jeddah and recovered 8 Kg Methamphetamine concealed in their luggage. In another operation, ANF Karachi intercepted a parcel at an office of courier Service Company based at Karachi, seizing 680 Gram Heroin concealed in Toy Books. The parcel was being dispatched to Netherland.
Yet in another operation, ANF Karachi arrested two local drug suppliers named Shoaib Ahmed and Zubair Ahmed, recovered 5.1 Kg Hashish from their possession. They were arrested from Village Mando Dero, Sukkur. In fourth operation, ANF Karachi arrested a drug peddler, identified as Nabi Bux along with 1.5 Kg Hashish. He was arrested from at Mohalla Mukhay Para, Mangopir Road, Karachi. In fifth operation, ANF while arresting a local drug supplier namely Muhammad Shahzad resident of Hyderabad, recovered 1 Kg Hashish from his possession. He was arrested near Rajpuana Hospital, Jamshoro, Hyderabad. All cases have been registered in ANF Police Stations and further investigations are under progress.
