KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has so far not been able to get the decisions on security implemented in the city.
Every time there’s a major terrorist attack in urban or rural Sindh, Murad calls a meeting but it doesn’t seem to be helping so far.
According to details, Muradhas so far called 15 meetings on security situation during the last three months but the target-killing incidents have increased by 20% during the same period. He presided over 11 meetings and all the meetings reached at important decisions. There’s always an order passed at the end of the meeting that the operation against the terrorists must be expedited.
However, the chief minister could neither install a web of CCTV cameras in the city during the three months nor has he been successful in eradicating the drug dens.
While there was an increase of 20% in the target-killing incidents in the city, the street crime situation is also the same. The claims of operations against street criminals are also laughing at the provincial government.
